Jammu, October 7 — Dr. Tahir Rufayee, the National Chairman of the National Foundation for Journalism and Media (NFJM), will visit Doda district on October 16 and 17. This visit is part of his outreach and engagement tour across Jammu and Kashmir.
During his two-day visit, Dr. Rufayee plans to interact with members of civil society, hold grievance redressal camps, and review local media and communication initiatives under NFJM programs. The visit promotes ethical journalism and enhances local media practices.
Dr. Rufayee’s itinerary includes welcome receptions and scheduled visits to several pivotal locations, such as Batote, Assar, Khellani, Doda town, Pranoo, Bhalla, and Bhaderwah. This comprehensive plan aims to foster dialogue and strengthen coordination between NFJM and local media representatives.
The purpose of this visit centers around addressing grievances related to journalism and digital media operations. Additionally, it aims to encourage grassroots participation in promoting journalism that is both ethical and responsible.
Officials from NFJM have confirmed that events in Doda and Bhaderwah will feature interactive sessions that bring together journalists, youth, and public representatives. These sessions will provide platforms for discussing the challenges and opportunities in the media landscape.
